TESLIN ID Supplies
Note: Because of possible misuse, the following
supplies are only sold to legitimate businesses and organizations. POLAFIX
requires all new accounts to provide a contact person (with phone number) and a copy of your State
business license or Non-Profit certification before these items can be shipped.
You may fax or mail these documents to us when placing your order. We reserve
the right to verify all information submitted.
Teslin is a synthetic, plastic material that can be
used in Laser and inkjet printers! Polafix has several software
packages (or you can use your own) that enable you to design and print your
badges on Teslin. By using Polafix butterfly pouches and Teslin inserts, you can
create a borderless badge. There
are several formats available, some in the familiar 8 ½" x 11" format
(with 8 inserts).
Note: Teslin requires a good laminator to bond
correctly with the clear protective cover. Your machine must have four rollers,
an adjustable heater control, top and bottom heaters, and a slow running motor.

These 4"X 6" sheets are ideal for printing those individual ID's that must be
issued immediately. In the past, printing these ID's on a letter size sheet would
force you to discard the unused inserts on the 8-up sheet. 1-up inserts are available
in 5 different insert sizes and can be ordered on Laser Teslin or Ink Jet Teslin:

InkJet printers (Epson printers must be modified by us) require IJT style teslin for proper color
reproduction.
Helpful Hints:
Feed Teslin Sheets into your printer using the manual feed slot. As with any
material, printer jams are possible. To minimize jamming, always feed one sheet
at a time. We have heard of Teslin jams in the fuser assembly of laser
printers (primarily high speed color). Use at your own risk. Laser printers are
used every day to successfully print on Teslin. We use laser and inkjet printers to print
on Teslin, as well as ink jet printers, and offset presses.
Warranty:
POLAFIX Inc. warrants only that its products will be of
PPG's standard quality. This warranty is exclusive and is in lieu of all other
warranties, express or implied, including, without limitation, that of
merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. POLAFIX Inc.
will not be liable for any incidental, special or consequential damages. Buyer's
remedy shall be limited to replacement of nonconforming product or refund of the
purchase price.
